Description: This is my visual quote sketch. The quote that I chose was “Creativity Takes Courage”. I chose that quote because when I was young, I really loved art. Art is my passion as part of my creativity to show courage in myself of what I do based on the hobby that I love to do to gain confidence. So, I’m just trying to gather my ideas of sketches that connect with that quote.
For the quote I did it separately with each word. I put courage that connects with the girl’s brain. Creativity, I put it on the other side that shows the whole illustration. For takes, I put it below creativity. This quote represents this illustration because it tells you the message of what the quote means.
For example, you see that courage connects with the girl’s brain. It connects there because the brian strengthens her mind and has a lot of ideas that could work out for her. Another example is that for creativity and takes, the words are separate, however it tells you the meaning based on what’s going on in this illustration.
Description: The professor has assigned me to do 5 different sketches to brainstorm ideas of what I wanted my cover to look like. So, I did 6 boxes with 6 different style sketches for my book that is based on heroes. Create 5 different cover sketches, and choose the best one to begin computer work.
Description: The professor wanted me to brainstorm how we redesign an AD before redesigning it onto the computer. So, I was coming up with different sketches as I'm thinking about how to make the redesign ad more accurate and more unique and how the structure is going to look. I did a sketch template, printed it out and started to draw.
Description: While I’m doing the space hotel project, the professor said “When you start creating your space hotel, who’s going to be in the hotel? People? Aliens? Figures we didn’t know about. That’s what you have to figure out. Gather ideas”. I wanted to do Aliens, so I researched alien illustrations and put them on a sheet of paper. The first one is from Alien vs Predator. The second one is a robot and the third one is just aliens. It can give me thought of what to put for my hotel when I start putting these ideas on paper.
Description: While I’m doing the space hotel project, key cards are required to let people get into the hotel. But then I said to myself of doing something more creative or something that hasn't been done before or hasn't been invested. Instead of doing key cards, I decided to make Hotel key watches. People can use their watches all the time without putting their key card in their pocket or taking it out. I drew different styles of watches for the space hotel.
Description: In this assignment, it was a celebration of Gordon Parks at City Tech and the professor wants me to find any photographs of Gordon Parks and make it into a sketch by tracing it and shading it.
